Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Loddington Church of England Primary School.  As an Academy within the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust, we are a school that is continually moving forward. As Headteacher, I feel privileged to be the leader of this nurturing, family centred school. The ethos and commitment to achieving excellence at all levels of the school motivates me daily and helps to drive the school in all it does, to ensure the very best for all pupils.

At Loddington, we aim to build upon the school's strengths and become an outstanding centre for learning within the community. Our vision for achieving this is through high quality teaching and learning with a commitment to valuing potential in all members of the community.

All that we do is underpinned by Christian values and our school vision of life in all its fullness. We actively promote pupil advocacy work for the good of all, to reflect how our pupils' compassion becomes actions. Worship at our Parish Church of St. Leonard’s is part of our culture and is considered very important. Working in partnership with all our young people and their families, we strive to ensure they are all the best that they can be. These honest and trusting relationships are crucial in achieving the success for our pupils that they deserve.

We aim for our pupils to become highly skilled, confident, articulate young adults well placed to succeed in further education and employment, and emerge as active members of the community. Striving to unlock the talents of all our pupils, we continually challenge them to achieve their best and develop the skills for a lifelong love of learning. It is only through challenge that students truly discover what they are capable of. No matter where we start in life, we recognise that all have the potential to achieve and at Loddington Primary, we strive to ensure that they do. We believe that learning should be ‘immersive’ and therefore work hard to make all experiences for the children ‘come alive’ in a range of contexts. Whilst we recognise the importance of examination success, we believe that learning does not stop at the end of the school day and hence encourage students to engage with the many extra –curricular activities on offer both during and after school.

This is a warm, exciting and happy school where Christian distinctiveness and commitment to learning are encouraged and we hope the information within this website provides you with some additional details about the school that will be helpful to you. We are always happy to show visitors around and should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Our Vision

Loddington Primary is a family community where everyone is nurtured and truly valued. We strive to ensure that all our children enjoy school in our happy, welcoming environment. Through our engaging curriculum and placing Christian Values at the heart of what we do, we hope to inspire children to become confident and caring individuals who live life in all its fullness.

Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.”

John 10:10

We aspire for our children to become responsible, confident and creative members of our school community, whereby they flourish – reaching their full potential. Staff have high ambitions for all children, and children thrive from our secure and caring community. As an inclusive school, we work in partnership with our local community, parents, and our local churches – living out our Christian values every day. The solid foundation we set, alongside real-world experiences, prepares our children to become role-model citizens.

Do come and visit our school and enjoy the warm, nurturing atmosphere that permeates everything we do.
