Y5/6 have been very busy enjoying their learning this term.
In English we have just completed writing our opener to our suspense story and the children have come up with some fantastic ideas. We definitely have some budding Agatha Christies.
In Maths, Y6 have been keeping their Mathematical brains busy with working on a range of problem solving and investigations to consolidate their skills. They have particularly enjoyed the escape room challenges. Y5 have been working hard with using decimal numbers.
In History, we have been continuing to learn about the Mayan civilisation and we have had great fun finding out how their number and writing systems work. We have established they were very clever people, and their ways have definitely got us thinking.
In Science, we have continued to monitor how our potatoes, strawberries and onions are growing, as well as finding out classifying living things. The children have enjoyed researching the different classes and species.
Over the last few weeks, the children have had and will have the opportunity to take part in paddle boarding, those who have been so far have thoroughly enjoyed it and the weather has been in our favour.
