Religious Education

An Act of Worship takes place daily and covers the Christian calendar and moral issues. We also celebrate important events of other faiths. A member of the local clergy takes a weekly act of worship and we also invite a range of guest speakers. We use St Leonard’s Church in the village for our Harvest and Christmas services and also hold other services there from time to time.

As a Church of England school, Christian values pervade our teaching. The children have countless opportunities to develop self-awareness and Sensitivity to others in the way that they behave. We teach respect for people of other races, religions and ways of life.

Whilst the Christian ethos is clear it is understood that parents have the right to have their children excused from attendance at religious worship and from religious education.
